As part of the continuous development of our products, we have optimised the Katherm HK to offer you even more performance and efficiency. This redesign has resulted in two new versions of the trench system, which are setting new standards in trench technology, thanks to innovative components and a modular design. The new underfloor Katherm HK and HK P (with primary air supply) trench systems open up new possibilities, both in terms of efficiency and flexibility, offering you tailor-made solutions for your projects.

Performance-Optimized Length System
For a niche width of 1650 mm, a Katherm HK with a length of 1640 mm is used. Compared to the current version, which features a performance module of 630 mm, the new performance module has an extended length of 1160 mm. This results in an 84% increase in output while maintaining identical trench dimensions (1650 mm).
This is made possible by the new parametric approach, which allows the performance module to be adjusted in 100 mm increments, effectively increasing the active length.

The Katherm HK product range offers four trench widths and three width-dependent trench heights. The size 290/160 is now available as a new parametrised version. Depending on the site requirements, various product-specific lengths are available for all 2-pipe and 4-pipe output requirements.

More flexibility due to modular system
The new Katherm HK uses an innovative parametrised design that consists of three modules: connection module, power module and extension module. The special feature of this system is the flexibility of the power module. It can be adapted in 100 mm increments, allowing for about 12,000 different configurations. This diversity enables the units to be precisely coordinated to the space along the façade, as well as the required output.

Simple and quick installation
The connection modules of the new Katherm HK combine all electrical, heating and waste water connections on one side, thereby providing for simple and time-saving installation.
Increased heat exchanger output
The power module optimises the heat exchanger output by means of a continuous series of tangential fans featuring a newly developed coupling system driven by a single powerful motor. Benefits:
- Even flow along the entire length of the coil
- Low consumption of resources
- Lower energy costs and susceptibility to errors in projects
Maximum use of floor space
The extension module of the new Katherm HK enables the system to be adapted flexibly and efficiently to different system configurations (2-pipe or 4-pipe) and conditions on site, making maximum use of floor space, and maximising output with with minimal noise.
Katherm HK
Katherm HK trench systems deliver energy-efficient and sound-optimized heating and cooling at all system temperatures, also when operated with low water temperatures and heat pumps. They are suitable for use in all kinds of buildings in which there is a primarily higher cooling load owing to internal loads and the effects of sunlight due to large areas of glazing.

New: Katherm HK P
The new Katherm HK P trench system offers the possibility of introducing additional primary air into premises, making it particularly suitable for projects where both heating and cooling output are required together with a supply of treated fresh air. Heating, cooling and air supply are ideally combined in a single trench. The required primary air volume can be adapted with ease by means of a variable number of primary air modules with adjustable air slides. Katherm HK P units are initially available with the dimensions 310/160 (width/height in mm). Additional sizes will follow!
