Europe’s largest motor home manufacturer is expanding
Building owner: Capron GmbH
Town/City: Neustadt
More and more Germans are taking their vacations in motor homes. The caravanning sector is booming, as are motor home manufacturers. The largest of them is Capron Gmbh, based in the town of Neustadt in Saxony, not far from Dresden and close to the Czech border. Capron is the Erwin Hymer Group’s Competence Centre and builds CORADO and SUNLIGHT motor homes. To meet market demand, the company is investing in a new production hall including modern training centre – and in an intelligent air conditioning system.
There are nine KaCompact ventilation units on the roof of the new production hall. Together with 45 TOP unit heaters they form the Hybrid ECO system. The central ventilation unit carries on-demand the hygienic volume of fresh air to the unit heaters. The decentralised units in the rooms are responsible for the thermal treatment of the recirculation air and fresh air. This technique means that the air ducts, and the air handling unit, can be designed smaller. This reduces investment costs, ensures cost-effective operation and permits the stand-alone temperature control and ventilation of indoor spaces. Two more freely configured air handling units for the washroom and training areas complement the ventilation management system.
Also installed at Capron: Galaxy radiant ceiling panels, TIP unit heaters and ProtecTor air curtains to screen cold air across the hall doorways. The whole range Kampmann Group solutions are therefore used: from central ventilation units, unit heaters and door air curtains to diffusers – smartly controlled by the Kampmann KaControl system.
Kampmann employees were on hand during the construction phase, working closely with electricians and heating contractors, to ensure the seamless installation of the climate technology despite the size of the project and minimise the risk of errors,
