Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A., ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer to make it possible to analyse how you use the website. The information generated by the cookies about how you use our website (including your IP address) will usually be transferred to a Google server in the United States of America and stored there. In the event of IP anonymisation being activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated beforehand by Google within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address first be transferred to a Google server in the USA and then truncated there. Google will use the collected information for the purposes of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports about your activity on the website for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will if necessary also transfer this information to third parties if this is legally required or third parties are processing this data on behalf of Google. Google will in no event associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the corresponding settings in your browser; however, please note that, if you choose to do so, you may not be able to use the all this website's functions in full. By using this Website, your are consenting to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner set out above and for the purposes mentioned above. You may also choose to prevent the data relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) generated by the cookie being collected, sent to Google and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link. In view of the discussion regarding the use of analysis tools utilising full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the "_anonymizeIp()" extension and that therefore only truncated IP addresses will be used so as to prevent any direct association with specific persons.

Google Re/Marketing Services

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. an interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offering in accordance with Art. 6 Section 1 lit. f. GDPR), we use the marketing and remarketing services (abbreviated to “Google Marketing Services”) provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, (“Google”).

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thereby guarantees to uphold the European Data Protection Regulation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

Google Marketing Services allow us to display targeted advertisements for and on our website in order to only present advertisements to users, which potentially correspond to their interests. “Remarketing” is the term used if a user, for example, is displayed advertisements for products in which he has shown interest on other websites. For this purpose, when our and other websites are accessed on which Google Marketing Services are enabled, a code is directly issued by Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as “pixels”) are incorporated in the website. With the aid of these pixels, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the users’ device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). These cookies can be set by different domains, including google.com. doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com. admeld.com. googlesyndicate.com or googleadservices.com. The file contains a note about which websites the user has searched for, in what content he is interested and on which offers he has clicked, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit time and other information about the use of the online offering. It also identifies the IP address of the users, although we would state with Google Analytics that the IP address is abbreviated within the member states of the European Union or in other states contracted to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases is it transmitted in its entirety to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. The IP address is not combined with the user’s data within other services offered by Google. The aforementioned information can also be combined by Google with such information from other sources. If the user then visits other websites, the advertisements corresponding to his interests can then be displayed to him accordingly.

The users’ data is processed under a pseudonym by Google Marketing Services. This means that Google does not store and process the users’ name or e-mail address, but rather processes the relevant data cookie-based within user profiles flagged with a pseudonym. Therefore, from Google’s perspective, the advertisements are not managed and displayed for a specific identifiable person, but rather for the cookie owner, regardless of who this cookie owner is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without pseudonymisation. The information collected by Google Marketing Services about the users is transferred to Google and stored on Google’s servers in the USA.

The Google Marketing Services we use include, among others, the online advertising program “Google AdWords”. With Google AdWords, every AdWords customer is given a another “conversion cookie“. Cookies cannot therefore be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the cookies helps to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers find out the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisement and were forwarded onto a page carrying a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not obtain any information that enables users to be personally identified.

Moreover, we use the “Google Tag Manager” to include and manage Google analysis and marketing services on our website.

You can obtain more information on data use for marketing purposes by Google on the overview page:https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads, and the Google Privacy Statement can be accessed at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

If you wish to object to interest-related advertising by Google Marketing Services, you can use the setting and opt-out options provided by Google: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences.
